Trading needs a lot more work fast

So it's july 10th 2020, I trade Carey price and his 9m contract to calgary for a first round pick. I notice 2 months later october 14th calgary trades price to carolina for a 6th round pick. That's just dumb! When i traded price to calgary it said in the trade screen that they needed a goalie. Before they traded price to carolina they signed another top goalie in july just after the trade i made to them sending price.

Another problem is always having to go in commish mode because my team likes to hire a 2nd GM and makes a big trade before i realize he is there to remove him.

I was really enjoying this game after my first 4 days on it and spending 32.00 canadian dollars, but this game is not even a finished product. I really hope the trading gets improved on the next patch so i don't feel like i wasted my money.

Besides the trading, 2nd GM problem and the CPU handling of their prospects i think this can be an awesome game.

Welcome to be forums!

The second GM issue is resolved for the next patch. this also fixes the moving of players by AI (when set to user)

Yeah, the AI trading needs a lot of work. In my custom league I have a player who was voted goalie of the year 2 years in a row, and got traded 3 times! The first time (after his first award win) the team traded him and their top scorer for 2 players in their mid 30's and a 7th round pick.

What is the trade slider set to in league settings? I find bringing that down helps reduce some of the crazy bad trades... it also reduces trades in general, but it helps keep my blood pressure from spiking when I see the really bad ones :P

Couldn't tell you. I'm halfway through the season and can't get into it. Have to remember to change it when I hit July 1st.

My biggest complain regarding trades is that they only say "it's close to being alright"... they should give you some hint or counter-offers.
