Minor League Player Limit Controls Needed
Unless I am missing something in the settings in the game, I feel OOTP 17 should have a setting for control of minor leagues minimum/maximum limits and position fullfillment. In on line leagues many times GM's fail to monitor their minor leagues as to number of players at each level. I set the maximum player limits at 30 players for AAA, AA, and A levels and 40 for Short season and 60 for rookie leagues. And what happens is some GM's will have 40 players at AAA or 15 at AAA. The maximum limit is ignored in the game and allows GM's to go over that max line. Why ? Also, a GM might have 15 players at a level with 10 being pitchers. I realize that ghost players can take those open spots but does it not prohibit player development ? I would like to see the game provide a flag (warning) to a GM setting up his minors telling him he is in violation of maximum limits and preventing him from going over at that level. Also, some type of indicator showing the GM he has no players rated at all positions...........saying you have no players rated at C, 2B, or you only have 6 pitchers at this level!!Can some of these indicators/restricters be put into the game somehow? I realize a GM can just use the "ask AI" to setup complete minor league system function to distribute those players but it fails in many cases and will ignore maximum levels and positional needs. It does not work properly.

I agree. I don't know what the right answer is, but I'd like to be able to flag some guys as 'do not release' and then let the AI prune the rest as needed, preferably including some older players in A-AA. While it can be really fun to dig into your minor leagues and manage player development, sometimes you just want your assistant GM to handle it for you.

The problem I more have with minor leagues is every AI team in my league starts off their new draft pick prospects right at the AAA level and never have them go through the minor league system. This, of course, causes a lot of players to struggle.

That shouldn't be happening, it doesn't happen to me. You might want to report this as a bug and include information on the settings you're using.

I was just about to ask that but was unsure if being an online league made things different.
