Just an FYI concerning DAT files for "any" ballpark picture set....
The ballpark graphic files (the BMPs) go into the OOTP/Graphics directory. The problem with the DAT files is this... The two DAT files are where the ballpark "description" is stored (factors, name, etc... everything on the ballpark page) and which team is assigned which ballpark. These files are created within the game when you go to the "modify" ballparks page(s) and make changes. The "DAT" files are located in your league directory (league.lg), so each league has its own "DAT" files. So - your "MLB.lg" file (for example) already has descriptions for the ballparks that are already assigned in the league. If you add more ballpark graphics files to the graphics directory, that makes them availbale to use - but does not assign them anywhere. To assign them in the MLB.lg, you have to open the ballpark screens and create all the deatils for the new pictures - then go to the Team Setup page and assign the stadium. This new inforamtion is ADDED to the two DAT files that already exist. If the ballaprk creators/providers were to provide a set of "DAT" files - and you copied them into your league directory, they would overwright the DAT files that were already there. The only way to ADD the new ballaprks to existing leagues is to do it right is to do it manually. Copy the ballparks files (BMPs) into the graphics directory, then open your league, provide the characteristics of the ballaprk in the ballpark screen, and assign the ballparks to your teams from the Team Setup menu. These actions then modify the existing "DAT" files. |
