my best player is Jose Fernandez by far and away the BEST. Even had a thread on it and you can see his amazing stats. Never had a no hitter but dominated everything else.

Here's my 33 year old Babe Ruth from my historical mixup and Elio Thrash Ardinghi from my fictional league.
Edit: I also wanted to throw in my Mark Fidrych, who has been absolutely dominant even at 39. Last edited by polydamas; 09-08-2015 at 11:43 PM. |

I had a generated player go over 5,000 K's. Led the league nearly every year and won the Cy Young 13 or 14 times, across three different teams, and two leagues. He also won, I believe, two MVPs. I'll have to post up his stats when I get home.

This guy is a product of the "old style" OOTP draft classes with more studs, but this guy is the stud to end all studs in my MLB league. Rookie of the Year in Year 1, MVP in Years 2-4, and not looking like he's slowing down in Year 5. Reigning AL GG winner in RF.
Career 282/441/528 regular season line, 301/416/519 across 43 postseason games in 4 seasons. This is a guy I really wish I had called up sooner, but I was more focused on maximizing my return for an outgoing arb-eligible RFer ahead of him back in 2019.

arturo "legend" rodriguez - no i didn't pick the nickname, lol. i do have some non-default PCMs. i increase contact but lower power/eye/avoid k's. it's still controlled by the LTM's to be the baseline stat i list below, but distribution of ratings is a bit different compared to default. if anything similar has ever been in any of my leagues, i missed it. i've never seen a batter this good - and a really good SS until age took its toll. he could have even stolen quite a few bases, had i let him. he got caught too often but most people would have let him run.
this is from teh tangent league i made recently, so i won't bother with the stats... 130-140win teams, 200-250hits a year etc etc... elevated AB because of so many good players... integrity is lacking on the totals but not rates. it's a baseline .255/.320/.399 ish league. so, my version of modern day environement, sans steroid years. the attachment shows probably his best years ratings wise. not 100% accurate. i did look him up at the time. i think he peaked at 210/250 power and his contact never got above 200. so, the scout was a bit off on contact. more likley a 99 or 100 out of 100. his eye is/was ~68/100. going into his age 39 season, he still has a ~80/100 contact and ~66/100 power according to the scout. so, i'm riding him out till he says, "no mas" like roberto duran. he was a rookie at age 19. he hit .303 / .359 / .480. never hit .400 (probably won't last couple years). .392 was his best average at age 32. 59hr was hit top year - but only 156 games per year in my league. he broke 800hr in my bs league... he's old enough to be in the original league, so i'll get to see what happens in round #2. career: .356 / .430 / .648, but those are dropping each year he continues to play. Watching these 2 guys constantly trying to out-do one another was probably one of my favorite things to ever happen in OOTP. They just dominated the game in a way I've never seen before or since (I've seen guys this good, but not where 2 of them were so far above everyone else around them). Considering the era they were playing in, I couldn't help but be reminded of Williams vs. Mantle. Tune hit for a high average, drew a ton of walks, and between ABs you gave him a glove, stuck him at one of the corners and hoped for the best. Kimes had monster power, hit .300, and played outstanding OF defense.
(Just to put the HR totals of these 2 in perspective, they own the top 9 spots on the single-season HR list. The guy at #10 had 51, and that didn't happen until 1956.) This was all during OOTP14, and unfortunately I had a few problems that caused me to have to "retire" this save, so it'll forever be 1958. But I'll always keep a copy of it and transfer it to the latest version, just so I can look back at these 2 guys and remember how much fun this was. Kimes even edges out Roy Hobbs as my favorite fictional player of all-time...

Did you mean to post a screenshot of his expanded stats only?
