Owner Goals - weird goal
Why would my owner want me to dump this guy? I don't care how distracting he is, he's the best offensive first baseman in the league.

You don't care how distracting he is but the owner does.

My owner is insisting that I resign a guy who retired 2 seasons ago, and the best part is he sent me that goal two months after the guy retired and I still have to hear about it at every mid-season and year end review of my goals.

Sometimes you have to tell the owner no.
In this case I'd comply, having a clubhouse cancer affects everyone's performance. It's possible you can stick a replacement level player in his spot and end up doing better as a team because he's currently bringing everyone else down. |

It's your game, play it your way. However, this is what I would do about that... Use commissioner mode to un-retire the player and sign him to a contract at minimum salary. Make sure he is on the major-league roster at the end of the season, and the goal should be met. Then you can retire him again. |

Oh i know, I just think it's funny to see my owner cry about a now 44 year old relief pitcher who pitched a total of 17 games for me and now he wants him back for some reason.
