Mid-season manager/coach firings

Hello,

First time poster, long time lurker/OOTP player. My first version was OOTP 3 way back in 2001. Love this game!

One thing that's really starting to (just slightly!) bother me is that I don't think I've seen a mid-season firing of a manager or coach by a computer controlled team ever, in any version. All the firings seem to happen at the end of the season.

Does this ever happen? You would think it should be happening at least once or twice a season in the majors.

This would be a nice feature to at least be able to toggle on and off in the league/game settings.

Thanks for your input and everyone's hard work in the community and at OOTP Developments. Seriously, this game is a stats geek's best friend.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen that either...but that would definitely add to the immersion. That is a fantastic suggestion.

I have definitely seen CPU managers fired midseason in some of my solo careers.

I have seen the manager fired by the AI as early as May.

Same here. Not often but I've seen it happen in my solo league, as well.

The only time I've ever really seen it was when a team went on an insanely long losing streak (10+ games) when they were expected to win. So in that sense, I'd say it's a little realistic as it probably could happen a tiny bit more to be realistic.
