This, yes. I've gone in in commissioner mode and manually un-injured players who'd be well by opening day so I could trade for them. I suppose that's a reasonable solution, but other people probably feel more uneasy about tinkering in commissioner mode than I do, and in any event it doesn't do anything for AI-to-AI trades.

i think that trading for injured ppl should be turned off by default. However, i can see no reason why there shouldnt be an option added to allow it.

for everyone claiming not realistic etc....so what? noone forces YOU to play like that. the proponents of adding this option do not want to REPLACE the current way but simply to add an alternative

OOTP 17 now a) allows you to trade players injured 7 days or less (or DtD injured without time limit) and b) switch off this limitation entirely in the trade settings in the league setup.
