I would never eat that much of a salary. thats throwing money away. irl teams try to do that as little as possible. i would probably just end up platooning, n hoping he could give me some pop against right handed pitching. ur rebuilding anyhow, so his performance will not make or break ur season

Eat his contract for a year and then decline the team option. Saves you $13M.

I managed to trade him by including a lot of cash which id got in other deals, built the pot up and finally rid myself of the man...cost me a wedge but i had loads so it was worth it to get out of the following years dollars.

Paying $25m to save me $25m.
