I have a few expansion questions. I started an 8 team league I want to expand by four teams.

How many players from each of the original 8 will be protected in the expansion draft?
In commissioner mode can I move the players and avoid the draft?
Finally once I get to 12 teams, can you align to two divisions of 6 or are you forever bound to one division?

I am the human GM of every team if that matters and used create a player for every active player.

It shouldn't be counting fighting majors as power plays - where exactly are you seeing that, in the boxscore during the game, or looking back after it's been played? Seeing players on the ice and in the penalty box sounds like a display error with the box; that's a fairly new feature and may still have some issues, so we'll keep an eye out for that happening.
Thanks for your reply.
Just checking the box score of the last game I watched, Chicago and Boston each had 2x5min majors (fighting) plus Boston had 1 minor, Chicago had 2 minor penalties. The box said Chicago 3 PPO and Boston 4 PPO.

Okay... I had to use control + click on my Macbook Air

Erratic behavoir of owner

Hi,

i need some help regarding the way confidence works in the game. This has happened:

I did a rebuild and despite the odds made it into the playoffs und to the finals. I was offered an extension, which i signed (i guess this means the owner was happy with my work). A few days later i read the news-mail that im about to be fired. I check the owner confidence: very low.

I manage to win the cup (the third in five years) and i get the board confidence message like: We wanted you to reach the playoffs, you even won the cup. Fantastic. The owner is nontheless very unhappy with your work.

In the offseason i do the usual adjustments, the owner confidence gets back to very high.

The new season starts, we dominate the conference, owner confidence is back to very low. Again i get an update that reads like: So far the season is a great success, but the owner is very unhappy with your work.

What factors could overshadow the overachieving of the tasks given to me?

Merry christmas!

I'm interested in exporting the rosters in this game and advancing all players' ages by one year. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks!

Promotion/Relegation and Cup setup

I was looking for a way to set up a Promotion/Relegation League, but cannot figure out how to do it for the life of me. I see things that suggest it is possible (In rules or in standings).

I scrolled through the threads and could not find an answer.

Really enjoy the game!

I've made a tactics set (1-2-2 Trap) for the 1st line. Is there a handy way to copy it for other three lines? Or should I start from scratch for them?

How does "Copy from Tactic Screen" in the Action menu work?

I was wondering how do you know if you have a potential generational player (i.e. Lindros or Crosby) in the draft pool? Do the generational talents have 4 star or higher current ability?

The game is not very good at generating these types of players. Stars yes, but not Gretzky / Orr types.

How can you make a player play on two seperate lines? I am only able to dress 19 players as per the rules of the era in 1980-81, but I would like to play 4 lines, just double shifting one of my top 3 line players to make a full fourth line, however if I drag a player's name over the slot it takes him out of the other lineup slot he is in. I see computer controlled teams with 4 lines using this method, so does anybody know how I can do it?

Hi, just noticed that you can do it when games are played manually. In the lineups section one can set double shifts.

1] Does the game include fighting?

2] If it does include fighting, is there an option to turn fighting off?

3] Does anyone have an opinion on whether this game would be enjoyable for someone who knows little about hockey but is a big fan of sports management sims?

This is probably a stupid question, but I really can't find the shortlist. Where is it? And how/where do I create and edit a draft list?

Thanks!

For Shortlist:
1) Click on your Team's Roster
2) Then you will see options for active roster, contracts, protected list, injury list, waivers, trading block and shortlist

For Draft List
1) Click on Draft Entry Page (will be under tasks).
2) Right click a player and select "add to draft list." Player should be added to your Draft List.
3) If you want to edit order, there will be an option that says "Change Draft List Position" when you right click. Then just choose whatever ranking you want to assign that player.

I hope that helps.

How do I zoom out facegen pictures?
Also how can I change rules and then save a quicksave, I am making a league where the periods should be 15 minutes long not 20

To zoom out:
1) Go to start screen.
2) Click on preferences
3) Click on facegen tab
4) Check the box that says Zoom Out Player Pics

No. Why would you? They're completely different games.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated, although I suspect that I will probably miss the holiday sale...

Yes, there is fighting. See thread below.
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...enforcers.html

I am not sure if you can turn it off.

I think FHM is a good game for a hockey novice compared to EHM. EHM has such a steep learning curve. That's just my 2 cents.
