How to be a good GM ... ?
Hi Everyone,
I have a bit of struggle to understand how to be a good GM a please the team owner. I usually try to build a team around draftee and some big stars. I usually finish in the firsts in the league (always doing the playoff as well). But even on a winning strike or when the team is having a record of 45-20-6, i suddenly got fired. It was not even after a lot of game lost. I receive a lot the message 'despite the team's good performance, the management is concerned about your work' but i mostly don't understand how to please them when we are winning. Evok |

It's hard to say, you often see the computer GMs getting fired left and right throughout the season. Playing with "cannot be fired" turned on is one way to do it, but other things to watch for are financials and what the goals of the franchise are. You might be winning but spending way too much, or not attracting a big enough audience, or have front office problems. There are a lot of balls in the air. Hopefully this kind of thing will get better with more updates and new versions, but for the moment just keep trying your best and maybe turn commissioner mode on if it's really getting on your tits.

Goals were to compete for the playoffs race all the three years and i reached the playoff each time, financials were always in the red exept the first season. Team attendance were sell out at home ... welp i guess it's time to turn on 'cannot be fired' ...
If someone have some more things that i should watch out, please let me know ! it's quite sad to get fired from a successfull team

strange indeed financials are a BIG problem....if you are in the RED it is NOT GOOD. Forget the sellouts I have a fantasy league and its ALWAYS sellouts. I would first look at the monthly reports see what the owner is thinking. Winning is one thing but you are NOT the yankees you cannot buy a championship every season. I would use caution on the draftees bring them in slowly. I would take a look at your players budget (in fact go ahead and post what you got on the budget and what your players are making).
