Need help before upgrading to Windows 10

I accidentally deleted my emails. This includes the receipt for OOTP 16. I want to upgrade to Windows 10 over the Christmas break. I do not not have a copy of my license code. Is there a place on my computer where I could find the license code?

I don't really want to buy the game again. I looked for the license on my computer but was not able to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, all I saw license/unlicensed. I did not see the actual license code.

i thought i saw it in a log file or some other txt/ini in the game directory, but i could be wrong.

as long as you know the credit card/debit card you used, they can track it down. shoot them an email - whomever you purchased it from.

i bet if you type regedit and search "ootp" you'd find the key in your registry, too.

edit: read up on privacy and win 10. find something that walks you through all the settings that you should change from default. win10 is getting back into shady things... if you remember the cause of lawsuits brought against MS from ~15years ago.

i reverted back to win 7. it runs faster, boots faster, and i don't have to worry about it stealing my bandwidth when i look the other way.
