I just ran a test sim for a year where I filled an entire team with fictional players and 5 real players. Well besides the team winning the World Series (weird) every single one of the fictional players retired and the 5 real players remained. Does this have to do with the evolution of the league? Why have the option to have fictional players if they are only there for a season and then retire? I am lost and at this point not going to continue on with my keeper league if this is the case. Any solutions?

I did find a semi-solution. If you quit using the red x in the top right corner instead of one of the exit buttons, it looks like it doesn't think it's a crash. Which isn't amazingly helpful, but at the very least it saves you from having to close out of an extra window.

Maybe it's been asked before, but I just bought the game on Steam and when I attempt to run it after installing, I get the following error :

"Could not open target folder to install game data. Please uninstall and reinstall Out of the Park Baseball."

I did that, but still get the same error. When Googling for a solution, the only one I found was from someone who uninstalled the game, got a refund, and bought from the site instead of Steam. That worked for him. I was hoping for a less "brute force" solution. lol.

Try uninstalling it again (if you reinstalled it), then find the main folder of the game. I'm on a mac, and we have a folder called "Application Support" under the hidden "Library" directory. There, you can delete all OOTP files. I'm sure there's a windows equivalent to this (I'm assuming you're on windows?). Try searching for OOTP in your file search and see what comes up. Then, just delete the files completely, and reinstall OOTP from Steam.

For issues like this please file a support ticket (Submit a ticket - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software) and we can help. This may be due to a permissions issue.

I did... 2 or 3 weeks ago. Never got a response.

Edit: I'm referring to a ticket in general, not pertaining to the above problem. My issue was regarding the crashes that happen on Mac, as explained above and on the previous page.

I am having issues joining an online league. The commish sent out the quickstart code, but even after copying and pasting I get message saying there is no code copied to my clipboard (after I confirming it is indeed copied to my clipboard). The commish then sent me a new code and no dice. He then uploaded the league file for me to download and I saved it in the saved_games folder but it is still not working! When I go to 'Load Game' in the main menu the league file is not recognized (see attached photo). I am not the only one to have this problem, multiple people in the league are having the issue. Interestingly enough, we are all running OSX.

Any ideas?

My online league does not allow contract extensions. In my attachment is a backdoor way to resign minor league personnel.

BTW Next version, can we please have the option to allow personnel extensions but not players or vice versa?

Refuse to minors bug? (AI teams):
Not sure if anyone else has noticed this. I noticed that on the default 10 day DFA limit, it seems veteran players on AI teams never refuse going to the minors. However on my team, players sometimes do refuse going to the minors. For example, on the default rosters as the Pirates, Radhames Liz usually refuses and forces me to release him; when he's picked up by another team as a free agent they're able to send him to the minors. I don't scan the MLB free agent list that often but I've never seen a veteran on it after being released.

However, I switched the DFA limit to 3 days, and it seems some MLB veterans are now being released, presumably because they've refused their minors assignment. Not sure if it really qualifies as a bug but that DFA limit shouldn't really affect veterans refusing minors assignments.

I have a fictional game going, and several seasons in I added on 'AA' level minor leagues (the first minor's added). Apparently this created a ghost 'A' league of some sort too. I can't select this league to fill it with players or delete it, however I can select it from the teams home screen and from the edit schedule team.

I can't advance in my game because the league has no players, I can't fill them, and although I've selected to allow ghost players it won't allow them for this league!

Edit: I can fix it by unaffiliating the 'AA' league, changing it to majors, and THEN I can access the 'A' level to delete it.

Hi, I've been playing a franchise and I'm into September 2016 with Minnesota. We had a game suspended in June and rescheduled to finish in early September. Im at the date of the rescheduled game now and when I try to go into finish it the game automatically crashes every time. Ive tried a few different things like simming through it to just skip or auto playing past the day just to bypass it (my twins are out of it so the game isn't overly important) but every different attempt I make ends up with it crashing. Can anyone tell me if theres something I should be doing differently or is there a bug that could be fixed? Any help will be greatly appreciated I don't like not being able to play!

These dates just don't make any sense. I assume the problem is the leap year, and the game always assumes that for a player's age 364 days + 1 day = 0 days?

"0 day" should be "0 days" as well, except for the once every four years when it should be "365 days"...

Pitcher got a blown save charged when he:

1) Didn't allow a run;
2) Wasn't in the game when the score was tied (and the save was blown).

What I didn't show was he was PH for in the bottom of the 8th and the game was tied up in the top of the 9th.

I have found a way to crash the game everytime. I'm on a Mac, latest iOS update(el capitan), and in windowed mode. If you go to the left or right side of the window and drag it in a little bit, it will crash. This happens with ootp 15 and 16.

Mota attempts to score and is thrown out at the plate.

Collins tries to advance to third and the throw there is errant. Collins scores.

Collins is incorrectly credited with an RBI on the play.
