It seems that reported bugs and other issues increased significantly after the 2.2.8 patch was released. I really do hope it's my imagination and that I'm wrong about that.

I may just be paranoid because there is another game company (won't name the company or the game) that had a very good product... but every patch or update they put out introduced new problems and before you knew it, the game was so buggy that it was basically unplayable.

I guess I am (probably unnecessarily) requesting that the game's programmers please be careful that released patches don't introduce new problems. And I do apologize if this post is out of line and/or inappropriate. I just love this game so much that I care about its future.

I don't know, but seems to me that as much as they have updated the game already... they seem to be considerate in how and why they are updating it ... and I mean that in the way that they seem to want to be careful for the very reasons you are talking about....

they've had this board implode once before... I think they do not intend to allow it happen again

When did the for implosion take place? Was this recently?

Other than the problem with the search feature that we posted the hotfix for, I can't think of any problems that resulted from fixes made in the 2.2.8 update. People are getting further into the game and finding issues that escaped notice during testing and the first week or so of release, so there are still bug reports coming in. But I see every report that comes through, and the pace at which I've had to post new ones to the bug tracker has slowed noticeably.

Well, there was that problem with the names getting screwed up in historical games, Jeff ;-) (but that actually may have been with the patch before the 2.2.8 update, can't remember

the names are screwed up in fictional leagues as well known problem, coaches getting fired for being #1 or 2 in the division known problem, but too focused on real hockey right now to mess around with the game....
