Here is a screenshot. It seems to only be happening in the first year of a player's contract in a new custom game. This may be an isolated incident, and it doesn't matter to me anyway. I will be editing all contracts.

Definitely looks like a bug, but I can't seem to replicate it. What league settings did you start with?

When looking at active scouting, what makes a player to appear multiple times in a scout's list? This is all within just a few weeks of scouting NHL, so I wasn't sure what to make of it.

Custom game, 24 teams, 2 conferences, 4 divisions, 84 games. All rules default except for OT (5 on 5 no shootout ). No initial draft. Also no salary cap.

i play ootp baseball and looking into this game.

is there a similar discrepancy from real world players to fictionally created players? in ootp, fictional players have quite a different talent distribution. as the league transitions this causes things that i prefer to avoid.

disclaimer to avoid tangents:
not complaining nor looking for a debate. i just want to save myself time. knowing that i have to use fictional players to avoid it in this game would be helpful to me.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.. The development and player creation models would be similar whether you are in a real game or a fictional game. Talent distribution would generally depend on a number of factors, so it's difficult to give one hard and fast answer without more detail.

Is there a way to see draft picks possessed by each team without going into the team edit screen?

If you're actively managing a team in the league, the quickest way is the trade offer screen - just pull down the draft picks view for your trading partner and then you can looking through every team in the league rapidly by changing the team in the top Select Team dropdown.

When playing the modern NHL/AHL/ECHL during the first season (2015-16 ) ,with or without expansion,do fictional players appear by themselves at all or do they start appearing in season 2(2016-17)?

Aha, got it now. I suspect I didn't get it the first time because I ran an initial draft, the salaries get reset by that and the routine in the draft probably doesn't have the same error.

Thank you. Is there a way for the guys in our online league to do this? I think only I can see these?

Is this supposed to be happening? I am honestly not sure if this is set to reveal as such while using scouting.

Ah, that's going to be a problem, good point. Duranium's already posted a request on our internal project list for another view for the picks that's visible to all owners, we'll try to get that done as soon as possible.

That's unusual. What settings did the scout have, and were any/all of the players assigned to him specifically via right-clicking on the player name?

Why when draft is on the players aren't ranked by scouting services by 1-200 for example? I know you can rank them by potential. And there were very few trade deadline deals. And the draft lottery wasn't in the news or I missed it and didn't know the draft order until the draft.

Not sure if this has been raised already, but the text commentary doesn't seem to correlate with the number of shots being recorded on the stats.

For example, I've just read an action summary on text that featured three shots for my team: one off target, one saved, the final one blocked. Yet not a single one of these has been recorded as a shot, i.e no shot marker showing on the ice, nothing attributed to the relevant columns in the stats.

This also seems to happen for hits... the text commentary tells me someone has just been crunched and yet nothing is recorded in the hit stats.

Where do you look for unsigned RFA's (my team) because I can't find them? Thanks.

My guess at this point is that anytime you make an adjustment to scouting--something I'm finding I do frequently--it's as though the scout starts all over instead of a continuation.

Also, if you change his task, all of the players are jumbled together in his overall report(s). So NHL guys are lumped in with 17 year old draft prospects.

Here is a screenshot of my current scouting. I've done adjusting, but it's usually just to the length of time or changing their area of focus.

After about 7 or so weeks, I still only have the top-tier guys in the NHL scouted by my "NHL scout."

How do you delete a tactics template once you've created one? I've been tinkering around with things and now have numerous templates I no longer need
