Declining Draft Pool
When running a standard 2015 MLB setup with real world rosters, I have quite a few 5 star and 4 star prospects in the pool in 2015. By 2016, there are maybe 20. By 2017 and 2018, there are only one or two. I've played through several scenarios and seen this each time. Has this been discussed elsewhere or noticed by others?

Yes, discussed and noticed many times.
The first few classes are human-created and after that game-created. There is a noticeable difference.

Declining Draft Pool
Also note that it was intentional to create the human created draft classes higher than normal (normal being how the game generate its classes) to avoid the crafted players from being overtaken by the fake players eventually, and making the hard work pointless.

Seriously SMJ, nothing on you. I know that's why it was done. I just haven't been able to play the Sidney Wang card in a couple decades. But it does bewilder me. Let's make these guys better than they probably will be so the inaccuracy of the work will be on display longer? ![]()

Lol I may be paraphrasing. And maybe there's more to the story but the reason was posted on the forums a while back. |
