I can't recall what the actual upper limit is, but 30 is definitely possible, I just tried it.

Is there a way to limit the amount of different nationalities in a custom league? I just want a small 6 team custom league based out of Newfoundland. I don't want it to be a huge league in terms of scale or salaries, and I'd like if everyone in the league was from the selected region (Canada - Newfoundland).
I'll assume this isn't possible unless you edit every individual player. |

Edit: I should add, though, that player quality will always be restricted by the real national settings in the database - Newfoundland-only will be fine, because they get the Canadian quality settings, but the Vatican City Hockey League may have some problems. Is there a reason why AI teams never trade draft picks with one another? I don't think i've come across it yet.

The 2016 draft class is probably rated a little too highly at the moment (it's supposed to be a strong year, and potential for them is a little difficult to nail down well at this point in the season.) The AI looks at who's actually going to be taken with the pick when it determines its worth, so the lower picks are likely having their value inflated too much, which throws off their usual purpose as low-value balancing elements in a trade. It should get better as I thin the potentials of the later-round guys out a bit.

Any chance this is going to be added / changed in the future?

Pre launch, when were first getting sneak peeks at jersey mods, there was talk of the "zoomed out" face gen for the player images.
I can't seem to find a place where i can adjust how zoomed in or out my pictures are .... |

It's in "preferences" on the start screen.

If a player suffers a career ending injury is there any chance he can recover from it or come back in a couple seasons. The news listing seems to be vague saying "may never play again".

Good, that confirms my suspicions that it's that extra-good 2016 draft class that's confusing the AI, if draft pick trading opens up once they're out of the way. I'll make it a priority to get the potentials for later-round players trimmed down a bit.

No, there's no way to edit it right now, but we'll see if it's possible to add that, I can see why you'd want that option.

My problem is that when I make my tactics and lines before the game and when I press play for the start of the match all lines and tactics reset themselfs.

I am enjoying the game so far.
For fictional leagues is there anyplace where it lists how many teams make the playoffs and the schedule distribution for each league structure? One thing I can't stand in the NHL is that so many teams make the playoffs. I was going to set up a 10 team fictional league but after set up I noticed that 8 teams make the playoffs. It is hard for me to stay interested in the regular season when only 2 teams will be eliminated so I would like to know the number of playoff teams prior to taking the time to set up the whole league if possible. I would also like to know how the schedule distribution works to see if it is a schedule I would like playing with. |

Will we need to start a new save to take effect if this area gets updated?

Once you're past 2016, it'll self-correct in your existing game with the current version, probably improving gradually over a 2-3 year timeframe. What I'm going to do will only change the amount of pick trading in the 2015-16 season.
