Applied patch and now game is crashing

I played through my first 2 seasons on a Macbook Pro with no issues at all. . .now I applied the patch today and after getting to July 1 I can no longer do anything in the game. Can't advance past July 1 without the game crashing. Please help.

Is it actually crashing with an error message, or just appearing to freeze? July 1 is the annual season changeover, there's a huge amount of stuff going on that can take a couple of minutes to process, depending on your system.
