At this point Mike you are probably best directly contacting Malte. He's the one with most knowledge on commishing an online league and he had previously in the thread provided you an answer, albeit seemingly one that needs clarification.

Once you do find the answer though it would be nice for you to post here for others to learn from. Thanks.

Reset how? You are seeing moves made during the year no longer made in a new year?

Or are you talking about player ratings?

It depends what options you have set up.

On your Manager Options screen, you can drop down your main team on the "Team Control Settings" bottom right and set your minor league settings to either assistant or human control.

Will the AI team eventually change this player's role?
I am speculating as it's not something I've tested, but I think it would eventually.. Or at the very least, when he goes to free agency and signs a new contract.

Free agent centre (team menu) vs. Front office free agents (league menu)

I posted in the main forum, but in case that was the wrong place

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the "free agent centre" accessed from the team menu and the league "front office" screen that shows free agents?

Also, I noticed there are way less free agents in the "free agent centre" than the front office free agents and that there are many 5 star potential 17-18 year olds that go unsigned.

Is this because teams are only seeing the free agents listed in the free agent centre instead of the league wide front office one?

thanks!

What happened to the "Offer to All" option?

I've put players on Trade Block but had no offers. I remember I could offer to all and see what I could get on the market for players

That was never a feature of FHM 2. Hopefully something to add in the future.

The free agent centre is where you go to see the actual signable players for your league...

The league wide "front office" screen shows people who are "free agents" in all leagues, but won't necessarily be able to be signed by you. So for example 15 year olds moving on to the next level, 17 or 18 year old 5 star players as you note who aren't actually going unsigned, they will end up in junior or wherever else they are off to next, they just aren't able to be signed by your league.

You can notice this as in the league wide front office screen, you won't be able to actually offer contracts to a lot of those guys who aren't actually free agents.. It's probably a screen that could use a renaming.. But long story short, "Free Agent Centre" is where you want to check for the players eligible for you to sign in free agency.

You can choose from one of 34 pre-defined structures, which vary from 6 to 30 teams. You can select a nation and a region (which impact where your players come from) and a start year.

Then names and cities of teams, as well as the name of the arena, plus their market size, fan loyalty and the capacity of the arena.

Then you can choose whether to use a salary cap and salary floor (And what those should be), you can modify if there is trading allowed and when the trading deadline is. You can modify roster rules: players dressed, players active, contract maximum, player protected list, injury reserve list duration.

You can choose if your league will have free agents restricted FAs, buyout regular season, unconditional waivers.

Then game rules. You can select how many points for a win, win in overtime, shootout, loss in overtime/shootout, points for ties, how many skaters in overtime, how long overtime is, how many penalty shots in shootout, if you play with sudden death, overtime ties.

Then there are in-game things like goals per game, penalties per game,
frequency of trading, hall of fame criteria, names of annual awards.

Then there's custom jerseys and logos.

There may be a few other things, but that's the main stuff as I recall. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks.

Great thanks! Clarifies alot

One quick follow up

Since I am playing a fictional league, and there are no other leagues available in the universe, are these players for the next draft? where do they end up?

thanks again!

Is there a way to see the rights that the NHL or KHL might hold on a player? Nashville took my goalie and I didn't know they could (playing get-ligean league). The only way I can think of to see the rights is to be in commish mode and go into player edit. Thanks for any help

You don't have a junior league set up? If you do they would go play junior and if not yes at some point they would enter the draft ...

You can go into the contract screen on a player and see.

But I'd love to get an update the day after the draft on which of your players have been drafted soo you're ready that they might get an entry contract

Quick q, do you get a mail that an nhl team have taken your guy or do they just disappear?

Regarding the pre-defined league structures, is it possible (or will it be possible in the future) for modders to add/edit them?
