Are we able to hire staff to any role?

I wanted to hire Wayne Gretzky as head coach but he is listed as GM. If I manually put him on my team I get fired and he takes over as GM. Is there a way to add staff to certain positions?

I have a question about scouting regions. I'm my game I have a scout from Louisiana and he has no scouting regions listed. So that means he can only scout his home state/region well. Whats Louisiana's home region??? US midwest? Maybe a list of states/countries for each region might help when your not sure what the home region is.

Call me crazy but is they're an explanation on the way training works ? I've noticed when I set the training regime they're are numbers that show up. yes I'll be honest, I've been using my assistant this whole time for that part of the game =P

Printing - Didn't see this listed anywhere, but are we able to print say the rosters, standings, etc. I didn't see that in the game?

Does anybody know how to change jersey numbers?
Yeah, right click, select "change jersey number"... but then this menu pops up which which is not scrollable for me. It just shows me #45 to #99, but no lower numbers.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find it.

Can someone help me with understanding the scouting? I dont understand what the letters mean, such as, a players potential being a 3.5c compared to one being a 2b. What do the letter mean exactly?

I'd appreciate any help.

Next question:
How are you supposed to set your lines if you opt to go with 5 defenders and 11 forwards in a historical game, for example in 1967 when you can only dress 16 skaters??
You can't leave a position empty in a line, but you also can't just have a player occupy spots in two different lines. Funnily enough the AI can do just that. Or am I missing something?

I am playing a Fictional league, currently managing a junior club. When i try to recruit front office staff, they are all telling me that i can't hire them because there demande is too high, which lead me to lose all my staff. Anyone know how i can recruit people ?

The problem is, users will often play 20+ seasons, and in real life the owners would allow themselves those little escape clauses a few times in that window. They did it after the 2005 lockout as well, so it's been 100% of the time after each new CBA in the cap era. It's also very useful from an AI perspective - letting too many AI teams get into cap trouble does very, very bad things to roster management in the league as a whole; the safety valve of compliance buyouts a couple of times a decade helps avoid that.

That said, we're making it less likely that it'll decide to use the buyout on high-end players now, and should target more of the mid-roster guys making inflated salaries.

Hi, I have another question. I noticed that Orli Znojmo is in the Austrian Hockey League AND the Czech Extraliga. I thought they were only in the Austrian league though.

I don't see them in the Extraliga in the game, only in Austria. Can you show me a screenshot?

None, Blind Mode was just the first term we used for it, but the name didn't get changed when we added the manager option. We'll make the names match (or maybe just kill it in the setup/options menu) so that's clearer. There's also a bug that is preventing it from working properly in one area, Malte fixed that today so it should be in the first patch.
