2019 full season minors

Since most of the the big prospects are in the majors or getting close, I'm not going to deal with the minors so much anymore. After looking at the team summaries, I don't think I'm going to put up pictures. Most teams only have a couple, if any, eligible hitters. I think that there was a lot of movement with letting the AI handle promotions. I had generally been leaving most players at the same level for the whole season. Most affiliates struggled since Bavasi moved players up quicker than I was. I had also been filling prospectless spots in the lineup with veteran ringers but Bavasi was not hip to that plan. Lakewood was the only full season team to make the playoffs and they were swept out 3-0 in the 1st round by the Greenville Drive. The only awards won were a GG by Reading pitcher Alec Asher and an MVP and GG by Lakewood CF and fake prospect Ronald Washington.

2019 short season summary

Williamsport struggled but the GCL Phils (51-9), DSL Phils (45-27), and VSL Phils (49-23) each won their division. These teams are filled with older players since I don't really add any players to the organization. The GCL and DSL teams each won their 3 round playoffs but the VSL team lost their one game championship.
  • NYPL: Jonathan Arauz (GG, SS)
  • GCL: Evan McKendry (POY, 2nd), Tyler Beninghoff (POY, 3rd), Jacob Abbott (GG, 3B)
  • DSL: none
  • VSL: CF Luis Mendoza (MVP), SS Jhon Meison Herrera (MVP, 2nd), Victor Sobil (POY, 2nd), Robert Gilliam (POY, 3rd)

2020 opening day

It's 2020 and the Phillies are projected to go 75-87. I'm going to get back in the dugout and manage this team. I'll handle active roster moves but new assistant GM Greg Smith will be handling the minor league transactions. The minor league managers will be managing their teams but I may tell them where to play a few guys. Here's what the team looks like. SP Jake Thompson (3.5 stars) is out for 4 months with a torn rotator cuff that he suffered last season.

Here is a list of all players in the organizations with at least 2.5 star potential, according to my scout.

C - Jorge Alfaro (26, ML, 3), Gabriel Lino (26, AAA, 2.5)

1B - Rhys Hoskins (22, ML, 2.5)

2B - Odubel Herrera (28, ML, 2.5)

3B - Maikel Franco (27, ML, 5)

SS - JP Crawford (25, ML, 4)

OF - Nick Williams (26, ML, 3.5), Aaron Brown (27, ML, 3), Enmanuel Garcia (25, ML, 3), Dylan Cozens (25, ML, 2.5), Jhailyn Ortiz (21, R, 2.5), Cornelius Randolph (22, ML, 2.5)

P - Ken Giles (29, ML, 4.5), Jake Thompson (26, ML, 3.5), Jerad Eickhoff (29, ML, 3), Victor Arano (25, ML, 2.5), Franklyn Kilome (24, ML, 2.5), Ben Lively (28, ML, 2.5)

With most of these players in the majors, it looks like this will be the core going forward. They may have only a few seasons left to try to get back to the WS. Also, a new rule in MLB this season makes players free agents one year earlier which means I am going to have to sign some big extensions this year. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sign everyone.

2020 season

Maikel Franco led the league with 37 HR and Severino Gonzalez was the NL ERA leader at 2.49 but it wasn't enough for the Phillies to make the postseason. Franco also won a Platinum Stick, won a GG, and finished 3rd in the MVP. Gonzalez was the Phillie at the All-Star game.

2021 season

I was able to extend all FAs but it was tight. It looks like we might be getting close to the end of this experiment. I also released any non-eligible player in AAA and AA so the system is getting pretty thin. I did keep 5-star prospect Ronald Washington, who I drafted 1st overall in 2017, just to see how he does in AAA this year. I will be losing him in the Rule 5 next year. The only thing that I'm going to manage this season is the active roster transactions but I will reserve the right to meddle if I don't like the way things are being run. I will manage any postseason games if we happen to make it.

Green's first order of business was to make Ken Giles a SP and move 2020 NL ERA king Severino Gonzalez the closer. I'm intrigued and willing to see how it goes. Giles' stamina is only 35 so I don't know how many innings he'll be able to pitch.

After 6 starts, Ken Giles torn his UCL and is out for 8 months. Do I fire Joe Green on the spot?

2021 season

After being in 1st place from late April to early August, the Phillies fell back to the pack and hovered around .500 for the rest of the season. We finished 82-80 and were eliminated from the playoffs on the 2nd to last day of the season. Jake Thompson and Maikel Franco represented the Phillies at the All-Star game. Franco and JP Crawford won GGs.

2022 season

The predicted record for the Phillies this year is 69-93. Aaron Brown will iss the first couple weeks of the season and Carlos Indriago fractured his elbow and will miss most, if not all, of the season. It looks like I forgot to include the lineups and rotation in the ppictures.

2022 regular season

The Phillies were in contention for a playoff spot all year until a 12 game losing streak in September. Ken Giles won the NL reliever of the year and JP Crawford won a GG. Jake Thompson finished 3rd in the POY.
