Pederson Calls It Quits

The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced the retirement of center fielder Joc Pederson. The news, while disappointing, does not come as a complete surprise. Pederson has been out of action with a torn labrum. He recently said that it had put his baseball future "seriously in doubt." All doubt is now removed: he has chosen to retire from the sport. The 24-year-old Pederson will have more to say about his decision when he meets with the media later this afternoon.

To date this season is hitting .320 with 10 home runs.
Dodgers or not, i'm speechless...............

Labral tear. This season I had 5(!) players afflicted with this injury. You'd think it contagious.

Yup I started playing god with the Labral tear career ending injuries and changing them to season ending, it's happened way too much.

Lost Nolan Arenado and Jordan Lyles in a two year span the same way in last year's version. Just the worst.

Finally got this guy out of my division.

Side note, does anyone else feel there are a bit too many labrum injuries for position players?

Yup as I posted before I usually play god when I see this for a position player who's career ends and change it to a season ending injury instead.

You know, the other day when he hit the HR off the Giants, I thought, "Wait a minute... I could've sworn I read somewhere he'd been forced to retire...".
