Finally got a new computer & 16!-- probably a really dumb/easy Q re: loading photos...help??
Hi all,
I've been thinking I should be able to figure this out with what I have read on the forums and know about past OOTP games, etc..... but this is a new computer I'm working on, and admittedly half of my problem is probably not knowing the OS well (so I constantly am unsure if I'm putting things in the proper folders or directories, etc.) ... but I've figured most of that out. Still, I am thinking there has to be an easier way to load everything at once, so my problem... I'm just looking to do one of either/or: have my photos ready to load into new quick start 2015 games, but I want to be able to load Managers/Umpires/Coaches and prospects as well, in addition to the MLB high res shots. For whatever reason, it is not loading my minor league photos and I have had to do it manually- which is way too much time given that I tend to play every single game of my current franchise(s) and don't want to be importing every single photo manually. Furthermore, just one example (when I did manage to get a lot of things to load i.e. Coach photos as well as managers, and most prospects- but that was before I updated OOTP to the current # and decided to start fresh), coaches were not loading updated photos. Example: Joe Maddon being in Anaheim garb, Chris Bosio loaded in his D-Rays photo... etc. I think this probably has something to do with the manager and coach photo folders, but I am wondering now if one overrides the other? In the best of worlds I'd like to be able to just load all league photos at once- but I am also confused as to subfolders each type belongs in, etc. And also believe that jpg files may be overriding my high res png types, so I may just download the zip folders all over again. IN that case, would I be wise to unzip every photo into one folder, and import that ONE folder then?... Making sure to keep anything outdated in other folders for other franchises or playbacks etc.... I just am trying to find the most high-res 2015 photos all in one folder, so I can import them all at once. Also would be nice to not have to right click/save all of the photos. My net isn't the best so I am looking around the boards to see if there are downloads for complete packs... if someone could guide me to the best source for all-in-one 2015 photopacks, and explain the easiest way to load photos at once? That's really what I need in a nutshell. I know how to load them, but can't seem to manage to get everything loaded... It's frustrating and I just don't understand what I could be snafu'ing? thanks... dying to dive into this. Looks like another fantastic OOTP

Have you looked through the online manual? Start here:
Player and Personnel Images It looks like what you need to read is "Setting Up Global Images." EDIT: You did not mention http://wiki.ootpmods.com/drupal/PlayerPhotos in your post, so perhaps you may not be aware of that resource. However, I note nothing new there in two years, so your best bet for newer photopacks may be the OOTP Mods - Rosters, Photos, and Quick-Starts forum here. There's the stickied Gambo thread that you should keep an eye on but the one that caught my attention just now was http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-8-1-15-a.html.
