suggestion for levels of minors
Hey guys, I'm changing my Kansas Baseball League from reserve rosters to minor leagues next season, I don't see the point of keeping guys in reserve rosters and some of them never getting game experience.
The only question I'm having is whether I should have 1 or 2 levels of minors. I don't want to go over 2, then it becomes tedious to manage. 2 I can handle, or do I just want to go 1. I'm up for suggestions. I'm also wondering, I decided I wanted extra time to build my Wichita Wrangler squad, so I checked the can't be fired box. Is this going to have an effect on the owner goals? For instance, will I still get them next season, or will they go away? |

I would go with two levels. That way you have a lower level to put draftees in, and an upper level that has older players who you can call up for injury replacements when needed.

Just FYI, players develop normally on reserve rosters, so if your concern is them not getting game experience, there is nothing to worry about there... They will develop just as much as if they were on a minor league team.

That's not the only reason though, first and foremost I wanted to get some more cities in Kansas involved, there's a lot of other cities that could have a team. That, and I wanted more player development, more shifting around, more staff to work with, just more everything, if that makes sense. The reserve roster just wasn't doing it for me. |

You have to be VERY careful to avoid the minor league limbo bug. Don't add minors to a league unless you know what you're doing.

Basically, there's a bug in the code where players can be inaccessible to their teams if you add minors to a league in a certain way. I don't remember the exact details, so make sure the league is backed up before you attempt any huge structural changes.

The bug is only when you add minors to a league that has none right? Usually if I just ask AI to auto set the entire organization the players show up.

Can someone confirm this for me? Would I be better off starting over on a new dynasty with minor league system or is there a way to change from reserve rosters to minor leagues and keep my current save in tact?

i've actually never heard of this. just back up your save and add your minors. No need to quit your game
