Inaugural Draft Problems
I set up a 2 league, 4 division, 24 total team league using an inaugural draft. I wanted the draft to be 50 rounds so I set a roster size of 50 (with a 15 player reserve roster). I set the starting rotation to 6 and 11 relief pitchers and 33 position players for the 50 man roster.
My plan was after the draft to manually set each active roster to 25 (5 SP, 7 RP, 13 position players) and a 15 man reserve roster (4 pitchers and 11 position players) and cut 10 players. When I ran the draft each team selected 41 pitchers. Mostly starters were selected and then converted to relievers. Each team only selected 9 position players (2 catchers and 1 1B,2B,3B,SS,LF,CF,RF). I thought the teams would draft according to the settings of 6 SP, 11 RP, and 33 position players. I have no idea why this happened. I know that I have to start over (glad I saved as a quick start prior to the inaugural draft) but I don't know what to change. Any suggestions? |

Anyone else having issues with inaugural drafts?
I am really at a loss on what to do here. Any help is appreciated. |

The only advice I can give is what I would do in your situation. I would just stick with a 25 man roster from the beginning and see if that works. I have never seen anything like what you are describing and I have done thousands of inaugural drafts, but never with a 50 man roster w/33 position players.
