Being able to take on part of a players salary that your trading would be helpful. Right now its hard to trade your aging Joe SuperPlayer with a high salary for prospects/draft picks especially if teams are close to the salary cap. Adding the ability to tell the other owner that you'll pay 6 million of the players 12 million salary would be nice.
I don't know if any of you guys ever played Sierras' Football Pro series, but there was a utility some guy made called NetScoreBoard. Basically it read from the game logs and `played' out the game online. Graphics were lame but that wasn't the point. One of the leagues I was in got together every Saturday morning and watched the games be played out. Was a blast and league activity was always high. The program had the ability to watch 8 games at a time so if ya didn't have the time to watch all the games the commish could just put your game on another channel. What I'm thinking is if Markus or one of our great utility makers could make a program like that. If I remember correctly I spent around $10 for the NetScoreBoard program years ago, would gladly pay that again to bring my team to `life'. |

How about having the "team transactions" and "team news" (or even better, the league news) pages export to ftp... that way when a commish imported lineups, he could do a quick check of the league news page to see any released players... I'd also enjoy seeing the demotions/promotions from minors to majors export... fun to see what movement teams are making... |

Allowing us to edit the length of the minimum salary contract will help a lot of leagues who plan to upgrade to OOTP 5. Many leagues, (Including my own) are not happy with the fact that the change from 5 to 6 years has been forced upon them if they want to upgrade.

Just gleaning from other posts that actually pertain to on-line leagues (and not just gameplay), I wanted to enumerate the changes that would be most beneficial to an active on-line league like FOBL:
1) League-wide dev report (viewable on one screen). 2) League-wide ballpark ratings report (viewable on one screen). 3) Ability to trade cash and draft picks. Thanks for listening. |

Although this would apply to online and solo leagues, how about changing the lineup forms to be like this:
Home RHP Home RHP+DH Home LHP Home LHP+DH Away RHP Away RHP+DH Away LHP Away LHP+DH This would allow up to at least take advantage of park effects for our home stadiums (insert that power hitting lefty into the cleanup spot to favor a short RF porch) |

Since this is a patch and now another big release...here are the ones I think would be helpful and some have posted them already:
- teams can delete their own emails and the export would pick that up, this one isn't a huge pain but guys would like to delete their own emails - teams can release players, as long as there is some kind of safety net to avoid as much cheating as possible I think it's a great idea - teams can offer contract extensions, saw the argument that a team can just keep downloading the file but that's what most do now with their copy and then email the offer in to the league For larger releases: - allow trading of draft picks and cash. Major pain in the rear to make a one player for a pick trade happen currently ![]() -voting for the all-star game would be great, I'm aware of the utility but if I remember correctly, those players selected by the utility don't get their names in the news for all-star selections. Even if the owner voting was used in conjunction with computer points -voting for award winners at the end would be nifty too, same as above |

Two questions
1)From what I have seen is there really anything that adjusting your stadium ratings do? In our league we allow an owner to build new stadiums, one of the owners planning on doing this did a lot of testing 1st. It was noted that it did not matter if stadium had grass/astro, etc. Do these ratings matter (wall heigth, 400' to center, etc)? 2)Talking of FPS football, any active leagues still out there that play head to head? |

As far as '97 goes, the only one I know of is the NFL97, a league that Slash of slashware.com started. Basically the same core of original owners, been playing since early 1998. http://nfl97.homestead.com/NFL.html |

------- As far as contract extensions go, why is everyone asking to make it easier. ITS TOO DAMN EASY ALREADY. In my online league, there's a maximum of 4 players per year that refuse to re-sign. It should be much, much, MUCH more difficult to sign players. If your league supports parity, it should be harder by default.

One last thing, may have been mentioned:
The ability to vote for all-stars as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place votes for end of season awards would be f'n amazing.

Hope your still reading this thread...
How about adding this for the draft. Give each owner in the league the ability to rank all the players in an upcoming draft and export the results to the commish. The commish could then import these draft lists from each owner and or set an owner to have the CPU pick for him. This would greatly automate the draft process for most leagues. Would also eliminate the headache of the commish having to manually keep track of draft lists. |

The above is one of my favourite ideas, as well. I think there are a number of ways that we could accomplish this.
