The Most Ridiculous Thing You've Seen?

I was just playing an interleague game as the Orioles against the Marlins and witnessed the most insane game (really inning) I've seen ...

...in the top of the 5th, Wei-Yin Chen had pitched 4 perfect innings, hit a 2 RBI double, hit a 2 RBI triple. While running the bases he is injured.

Bottom of the fifth, T.J. McFarland enters the game - only to be immediately injured on a play.

Brian Matusz enters the game and too is immediately injured on a play.

My pitching staff decimated within an inning .

Gotta laugh to keep from crying! So my question is: what's your most ridiculous/hilarious/disastrous events during games you've seen?

An earthquake disrupting a World Series. Even OOTP can't top that one.

Bullpen gave up 2 runs but I won 4-2. Chen's 4 RBIs stood up

In one of my games, the AI (the opponent's AI happily) decided to have a slow moving catcher who had never stolen a base in his career try to steal second against one of the league's best throwing catchers. Not surprisingly, the guy was out by a country mile.

Maybe I can find the box score of the 9-8 game in which the winner scored all nine runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Had these 2 recently;

12-0 win where all 12 runs came in one inning:

12-4 win with a 10 run bottom of the eighth where the same batter comes up twice, with a 2 run Home run in AB #1, and a Grand Slam in AB #2:

In a Random Debut Historical that started in 1973, my 1974 Twins went 17-10 in April and 17-10 in May. So far in June, we're battling the regression monsters and losing big time. Plus, two members of the starting rotation went down with season ending injuries twelve days apart in June. So far we're 4-16 on June 24th, and the only starting pitcher that has a win is our #7 starter who's 2-0 in 2 GS. Can we please get a win from a starting pitcher? Please? Ugh. Sometimes baseball (and OOTP) can really hurt.

EDIT: More fun with numbers from this ridiculous June of 1974:

#7 starter: 2 GS, 2-0, 1.69
rest of starters: 18 GS, 0-10, 5.10
Bullpen: 27 G, 2-6, 1 SV, 3.23
all pitchers except #7 starter: 45 G, 18 GS, 2-16, 1 SV, 4.56
all pitchers total: 47 G, 20 GS, 4-16, 1 SV, 4.30

Alright, that's all for now...Let's get some winz guyz. Geez!

EDIT #2: Finally on June 27th, a SP other than the #7 guy got a win to bring us to 5-19 for the month of June! I've never seen anything like this. 14 games over .500 through the first two months and now all of that work is gone and we're right back where we started from on April 1st. Ugh.

Fun stat line for Kurt Suzuki in a game I just finished.

1 AB, 4 R, 1 H, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 HBP

Not to be outdone...in the same game, following Suzuki to the plate, was my starting pitcher was Phil Hughes, who was 0-for-12 as a hitter in his career but had to hit since I was playing (as the Twins) in Pittsburgh.

2 AB, 0 R, 2 H, 1 RBI, 1 2B, 1 Sac Bunt

Hughes was left stranded at 3rd base after both of his hits.

I was playing a game in my fictional league. We started out up 2-0 after a decent first inning, where things imploded. We gave up 6 runs in two innings on just two hits. How do you give up six runs on only two hits? We did it.

Eventually lost the game 15-4 (I play out my games and was so frustrated after the two inning start that I just simmed to the end of the game).

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

The 1996 ALCS in my historical...Game 4...and the greatest comeback in the history of comebacks. 9 runs down, down to their last out, down 3 games to 0, the Indians not only avoid the sweep, but come back to not only win the game, but the series against the White Sox.

Losing the Astros 1-0 without giving up a hit.

News about the MVP for a divisional series stated that a pitcher was MVP with a .000 BA, .000 OBA, 0 HR, 0 RBI and 0 R.

In a game, my 8-9-1 batters hit back-to-back-to-back home runs and my 1st batter had 25 power on a 20-80 scale.

Leaky roof. The club needs an upgrade at Plumber.

Once won a game 5-4. Had two hits. A 2-run HR and a 3-run HR. I know it sounds like a little league game, but my hitters were patient enough to get three walks at the right time.

Not sure how rare or ridiculous this is but my major league team, AAA team, and AA teams all just won via walk off wins on the same day.

I just saw a game in my random debut league where the Twins scored 13 runs in the top of the 9th to win 20-5 over the Angels. This included one guy, Scott Moore, driving in 6 runs in that inning with a two-run double and then a grand slam. Hell of an inning, especially given he was a late inning replacement who only had those two at-bats

.
