Pitcher ability as game progresses

Does the pitcher's ability improve as the game progresses if he is pitching well and hasn't allowed any runs?

In my old board and computer baseball simulation games the pitcher's ratings would increase if he was having a good day.

No because we know in real life that pitcher effectiveness decreases simultaneously with batter effectiveness increasing each time up to 3X the batting order. Pitcher stamina and pitch count (inside innings) will help or hurt the trend as we also know IRL. The best pitchers will retain effectiveness longer but only if they get to that 4th time through the order. All the ratings you see in game are relative in the sense that they are modified by the opposing pitcher or batter and the base/out state plus various strategy choices.

It's way more complex than charts methinks. Either way there is no evidence that pitchers get better. They get less bad than others for want of a better phrase.
