Offseason FA Issue

So i have been playing for a few weeks now, and i noticed something and could use some advice. it says i have (for example) $20 million to spend on FA this offseason and thats all i can offer. but if i put it on do nit disturb and simulate a week i will have a ton of huge offers out to guys. but if i tried to make those same offer it would say we didnt have enough money for that.

I don't play that way but a couple things to consider:

- will your AI GM pull back other offers once a big one is signed?

- is the AI GM adjusting your player development and scouting budgets to allow for more free agent money?

Just some thoughts

I thought that might be it but last year I had 250,000 to spend on players, so nothing lol. I wasnt allowed to offer anyone any contract, and then i let AI take over and it threw out 3 $100+ million dollar deals and a bunch of $5 mil a year deals also, i feel like thats to much money to get from changing SD money etc

try it without do not disturb, but with AI doing your free agency decisions. that behaviour might be restricted to "do not disturb."

its still not working... getting pretty frustrated lol. i put it in auto sim again, and there was now a ton of offers to Free Agents. I withdrew all the offers and it said I had now 30 million to spend instead of 500k, but my owner wont allow any contract over 500k. really weird

Something is borked. Where is the money coming from? Maybe on auto the owner loosens the purse strings. That is not necessarily a bug, just an alternate future.

Create a duplicate file, rename it then sim a month. If things are weird you could upload the file.

that's what i was thinking - due to do not disturb. your team essentially is completely computer controlled regardless of your settings.

but, the whole owner controls budget option should still remain. it's odd that the budget is changing. well, i think it's odd. i really don't look at other teams when i sim. ignorance is bliss - as long as the league if functioning within reason, and i can't say that it doesn't in my experience.
