Commisioner mode

So I'm trying out commisioner mode to make the rosters accurate to the real life mlb. But when i try and trade players or release someone and try and put them on the right team it doesn't give me the option.. For instance trading wellington castillo to the mariners; i can only trade players that are on my chosen team. If i try to trade a member of another team it only gives me the option of trading for that player. I don't see the point of league commisioner if i can't make changes..

Someone please help
Thanks

Are you acting as... ...?

If yes then don't.

You can go to the player info via the editor and simply change their team. You don't have to do it via trade.

If you want to create trades, then you have to choose "Act as..." from the GM menu and pick one of the teams. Put your trade in the screen and use "force trade" to complete it.

I thought it was possible to control everything as commissioner when you didn't act as.

You can act as one of the teams to complete the trade. But what i think is quicker is clicking the player then editor there as an option to put them on any team major or minor leagues.

That's what I meant. Call me marble mouth for not being able to express myself properly.
