Who is your best retired 1 PA Player?

Look in your retired player list and find a batter that has just 1 PA and just 1 game played. Which player has the best 1 PA story?

Since my league is fairly new I only had a handful of options and none with a spectacularly interesting story. I'd like to see some of yours.

Here's mine:

HP, this is an awesome idea. It would be cool to even do a running thing like this, because it forces you to look at some aspect of your league's history that most people never notice!

I don't have a lot of history yet, so I don't have much to choose from. I guess I would have to go with Antonio Monveal, although his one PA was in rookie ball, and I cheated slightly because he made his way into three whole games. (None of my players with one game and one plate appearance had anything interesting about them.):

Poor Antonio played in three games, missed a day with food poisoning, and shortly thereafter that was all she wrote.

Interestingly, in his one plate appearance he managed to score a run, yet didn't get a walk or a hit. Must've reached on an error I guess?

He ate the manager's wife's casserole and puked.

Somebody better teach that kid some manners.

I guess he could have been a pinch runner in one of those other games too.

Or it was a hangover and they found out that he had a serious drinking problem.

Or he ate waaay too many 'shrooms and showed up to the ballpark wacked-out. He ended up in a looney-bin.

After reading this intriguing line. I thought to look for myself. Found one player who played for the Colorado Rockies. He was in 2 games 1 PA got a base hit and run scored. Nothing unusal in the History storylines on him. I am in season 2035 this occurred in 2033.

This is from my Game of Thrones promotion/relegation league I've been tinkering with...

Not sure why this guy didn't get any playing time, but he was in the league (and with the same team) for 13 years; and only out for a total of 10 days with injury in all that time.

You have the same mindset I do. Any time I see stuff like this I have to make up the story behind it. I was thinking along the lines of he told the manager he had "food poisoning," but then posted pics of himself at a party on Instagram, forgetting his manager was on his Instagram.

How about toiling in the minors for ten years, coming up and hitting a home run, being sent back down and toiling for another four years before giving up?

Awesome.

That was the kind of story I was hoping that I would find.

Promising second round pick Jesper Virl, toils in the minors for several years until he is finally brought up and plays in two games with 2 (minor cheat) PAs. In one he walks, then he hits a walk-off home run to win a game. Then he returns to the minors never to be seen again.

After taking this screenshot, I'm pretty sure this guy is still active, but I don't see him getting another shot at 34 years of age.
