Custom views disappearing
My custom views keep disappearing. Is there a way to copy them so I don't have to keep setting them up over and over again? Also, where are they saved? In the data folder?
edit: just to add more information, I am well versed in creating custom views and how they work. I've used them extensively in OOTP 14 and OOTP 15. I did the same thing I always do with a new version and created the three custom views I wanted. One for batting, one for pitching and one for the transactions screen. All three views were saved. I was able to switch from the lineups with the custom batting view to the pitching staff with the custom pitching view with no problems. I then looked at my minor leagues using the same custom views since they "stick" from level to level. After I was done looking at my AAA, I choose my major league team from the team dropdown and the was greeted with the default pitching screen view. I clicked on the views dropdown and my custom view was gone. I then checked the batting view and the transaction screen view and they were both gone as well. I didn't do anything I haven't done hundreds of times and am at a loss to explain where the views went and why they no longer show in the dropdown.

Did any of you inadvertently delete your "tables" folder?

Just for clarity what version and what operating system?
FWIW I play the PC version from OOTP developments and have never had this happen in any version. |

That is strange. I am on win 7 64 bit and like I said no problems.
I am not a computer expert at all but I have to think with only 2 complaints, at least that I've read, might be system specific? Real time virus scanner "thinks" the file is bad and quarantines it or deletes it? Maybe a dumb suggestion but just grabbing at anything I can think of. Does it do it all the time\every time? If so maybe send in a support ticket and upload the file detailing steps to make it occur and see if Markus or Matt can reproduce it. If they can't see it happen I'm guessing something this obscure(at least not lots of reports here) is going to be a tough fix. Sorry it's happening to you, I know if it were me it would drive me crazy not knowing why it was happening or how to fix it. Good luck. |
