do Positional players stamina vary? or does everyone one have the same? how do I know what there stamina is? or fatigue ceiling? I know when they are tired with they yellow or red icon but does every positional player tire at the same rate? if not how do you know?

it's not cheating to pay attention. learn each positions affect on fatigue and recovery. learn why things happen in the game. take notes. how many consecutive days before a 2b turns 'yellow' (or what you determine as a threshold to sub out). there are likely 'wrinkles' beyond that simple concept. While you may not learn the 'exact' capacities of each player/position, you can narrow it down enough to make good use of the knowledge and optimize your substitutions. i keep notes on all sorts of things in this game. e.g. when starters tire relative to stamina, how many pitches per player's stamina cand be thrown and still recover to 100% by their next start. catcher obviously is the one most affected. i believe catcher ability rating may affect fatigue - kinda like pitcher stamina, but not 100% sure on that. you'll probably have to sub every position but 1B and RF during a regular 162-game season. my catcher will drop to a 'slightly tired' state after 8 or 9 straight days without a day off. however, if he starts another long streak of starts he will tire earlier during the 2nd streak of games, even if he is 100% to start. so, for catchers (maybe others - the 'wrinkle'), it takes into consideration more than just if he is 100% rested and how many consecutive days. i was not playing those games out, so it could just be that he had an extra-inning game and i am fooling myself about it.... not real high on my list of priorities. if fatigue is too great, it will take 2 days off to get back to 100% - for sure with catchers, never had to test it with other positions. |

At the risk of being foolish I'll say I see a strong correlation between reduced fatigue and durable/iron man players. That's based on several hundred seasons of play. Maybe Matt or Markus can confirm or deny this.
