Whatever you tell him to do. You can set him to take over certain aspects in your Manager Control settings.

Okay but on his own, he adds nothing? Correct?

he can: draft, hire/fire personell etc. go to manager control screen or whaetver it's called... there's three tabs there - pick one, lol. <been drinking, sorry>. someone gave me a big "BTW" when i misstated a menu name before, LOL! i immediately thought of jimmy falon's IT guy from SNL. Quietly, the AGM has become one of the best enhancements of this version IMO. With the AGM, you can "cherry-pick" certain repetitive tasks with which you may not want to be bothered.
For example, I certainly don't want the AGM to be handling free agency signings but he's ideal for setting scouting & development budgets and ticket prices. No more waking up to see that I am five years behind everybody else in these aspects! Similarly, the ability to assign the AGM to sign/fire minor league personnel is a big reason why I have coaching back on in my game now. I know that for best results, I probably should be hiring and firing all the way down to rookie level, but I never had much interest in doing so. On the other hand, I now can concentrate on the parent team personnel which, along with other enhancements, makes me happy.
