Expansion

So I have a league that currently has 14 teams in leach league. I would like to expand by 2 teams, 15 teams per league just as MLB is. When I try expanding though the game tells me I must have an even number of teams in each subleague. Is it even possible to expand and have a universe that's set up like the actual MLB?

Are you wanting to have an expansion draft?

If you are, I think you can add both teams to one subleague, run then draft then manually move one team into the other subleague via League Structure function.

If not, you can manually add one team to each subleague then fill out the rosters however you want.

The problem in both cases is going to be your schedule, the game can't generate one that is correct with odd numbers of teams in a subleague, but there are plenty of options for import with a 15/15 setup, I'm sure.

Ah, I didn't think of that! It is for an online league so I am experimenting with a copy, so I will try that out. I will check out schedule creators, I have never imported a schedule before. Is it fairly simple to do?

I have been editing my schedules by hand lately, but I think it's pretty straightforward. Just check out this thread:

Once you find a schedule that you like, you should be able to extract it into your schedules folder (maybe someone can fill him in on which folder exactly), and then use the import function to load it from the Schedule editor in League Settings.

Awesome! I will play around with a few schedules, I see there are numerous ones and try uploading and see what happens. Thanks!
