Real life manager

Is there any way next year's version can have the real NPC manager when we play in manager and GM mode, but we still retain control over lineups etc? It sort of takes a lot out of it if this is supposed to be a real simulation but the real manager isn't on the team as the manager. Don't really know why this was changed.

I agree. It's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but when I do Manager+GM mode, I feel like I'm essentially acting as two characters in the game, rather than one character filling two roles.
