Thumbs question

I'm in the final stages of finishing up a mod project. All I have to do is convert images. Can Thumbs convert psd files to bmp files. I know it handles jpg to bmp fine, but I'm wondering if the layers of the psd complicate or prevent this. Anyone played this way with it?

I can tell you that IrfanView will convert psd to bmp without problem. I don't use BatchThumbs any longer as I found IrfanView a better overall product.
