IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

Yeah, Steve was invited by the Mudhens to spend some time with them (good chance for ITP research)... he'll also play Golf with Larry Parrsih, or was it Lance?, in every case he's a former Allstar.

If he continues this way, Steve will soon hang out with LaRussa

There are a couple of avid gamers in baseball, they are profiled occasionally by the game magazines and game tv shows that air. I know that a couple of years ago Curt Schilling was into EverQuest, and he was profiled a while back on a tv program were he mentioned that he and his teammates tend to play video games on the long plane trips and such. I'm guessing the long busrides in the minors would have a similar effect.

Schilling's feud with Glanville because Schilling killed his character is priceless.

We have an owner in the CDL who was drafted in the third round by the Kansas City Royals in the past rookie draft. A couple of us have been tracking his progress in the low minors this year and he seems to have done extremely well. He has told me in the past that the other players, while interested in the game, think he's a bit goofy. They can't grasp the text based baseball game concept but he has vowed to keep trying to win them over. I'm sure they'll come around eventually!!

I won't give away who it is, although I'm sure anybody could figure it out rather quickly, but last time I checked he was doing quite well.

He was fourth in the league in runs scored, second in home runs, and second in RBI out of 63 players that had at least 3.1 plate appearances per team game played.
