A stadium in the middle of a river!
How cool is this! Damp, yes, but cool!

I am in shock and amazement. I hail origionally from the Midwest League city. That is amazing in how a team could play even in this. They don't show the game being played in this but they do show people walking across the bridge and all but still so cool. Still shaking my head on this.

Reminds me of that old joke about the Potomac Nationals.

I have two very opposite thoughts on this.
1. Pretty awesome and now I want to go to a flood game. 2. I really hope the team does something every year for all the flooded residents and businesses in the area every year. Part of me thinks this is really cool another part thinks it's almost a slap in the face to nearby folks who might have lost everything. Perhaps a promotion where you bring us a ruined family heirloom and you get in free. Or a advertisement promotion where you bring a copy of your insurance company screwing you on your insurance and you'll get a shout out as a "inning sponsor" or something. OR better yet how about let people who've just been flooded out of their homes and jobs to watch the game for free. It's really cool to see and pretty amazing they can keep the stadium going but at the same time.... Last edited by ra7c7er; 05-28-2015 at 04:48 PM. |

That looks like the worst idea ever. What happens when a flood wall fails?
It is neat, but I'm pretty surprised they would let people into the stadium with the flood walls in place. |

Been to a game when it was flooded... Parking is a pain but all in all, it's definitely an experience.
