Would anybody happen to have ratings for Ariel Miranda? I noticed he's in the system but no ratings.

The game has him as retired. Go into commish mode and unretire him. His ratings should appear since hes still young.

They show up in the edit ratings screen but not on the initial player card, weird.

That's just how the game handles retired guys, for whatever reason.

I think you have to play a day and the player card will show his current ratings.

You have to request a scouting report and play a day.

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but the Chiba Lotte Marines in the *** have their home stadium as Tropicana Field, with the same dimensions, model, etc. of the stadium for the MLB's Rays. They actually play at the QVC Marine Field in Chiba City. Just something I came across.

FYI this is like the fifth update with opening day rosters and Rusney Castillo is still on the OD roster when he was in Pawtucket. Nava made the team.

The AI might prefer Castillo to whoever's place he took based on the ratings and therefore whether Castillo is put in Pawtucket or not is irrelevant. He will wind up with Boston because the AI deems him worthy by the only thing it knows: the ratings, which were based off of Baseball Prospectus' PECOTA projection system.

But why would it do it if I am playing as the manager and GM? If it is automatically set for Nava to be on the team, the AI isn't controlling it to put him in the minors? Or does it do it when I start the game after the initial game set up screen? And if this were the case wouldn't it put Eduardo Rodriguez or Matt Barnes in over Kelly or Miley?

Basically once the rosters are loaded in game, the AI makes its decision as to who's on each roster. I wish it were as easy as the game accepting the actual rosters straight from the DB into the game. The only way to get Rusney out and Nava is it to severely underrate Castillo's ratings or to overrate Nava, neither of which we wanted to do.

It also takes less than a minute to go into commissioner mode and swap them if you're that concerned.

Donn Roach, 25 yr old starting Pitcher at AAA Iowa, is showing as having Mike Trout level popularity at both the national and local level, so something seems a little screwy there!
