Alright, so I'm thinking I'll finish/correct the jerseys/logos/caps and work on the name DB(was gonna add some Pokémon people names, Ash, Brock, Koga, etc.) and you focus on the World Edit. That seems to be a strength for you so why waste that.

I appreciate all the help you've given too Mainstreet, it's really sped up the process!

Jwinbigler used a program called Auto Realm that came up with lat/longs and making the map. We'll have to check this out.

Worth checking out when I get to that point, for sure.

UPDATE: XML (sans lat/long values) for Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn complete.

Given that Unova also has 12 seasons per year, accuracy for weather purposes (which is why lat is important) can't be foolproof.

And yeah, I was speaking in largely a generalist sense we can certainly mess around with that as we look into doing it.

I haven't actually had a chance to play Unova or Kalos based games, sadly, but this is what Bulbapedia is for. So I can still get the listings done, and we'll work on placements after.

UPDATE: Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and the Sevii Islands are complete. Now it's off to the more obscure regions. Though those might prove difficult due to lack of reliability. I will do the best I can.

Plan on finishing the Caps by Wednesday night. Going on Vacation on Thursday, but I'll still be around finishing up the names and such. Look forward to the completed World Edit, Mainstreet!

I've finished Phase One of the World Edit (that is to say, all cities in all nations are listed, but they are missing lat/long values).

Do you want this now? If so I need you to PM me an email address. This isn't an image file I can put on my server, it may try to execute without an interface if I load it.

Technical note: All I did was create a CONTINENT block to go inside CONTINENTS. I didn't make any REGION blocks. They're not strictly necessary unless you want a way to auto-gen pokemon world segments (for use in the Fictional League Creation Wizard, Step 2). I can add these if needed, although I am not sure how the sort argument works.
Also, Because of the way REGIONS and WORLD works, "AUTO-REGION Baseball Quality X nations" *may* include Pokemon World nations as well as "real" nations. The big 6 are bbqual 5, with lesser regions having lesser numbers. Same with INTER-CONTINENTAL: World (All Nations). However, there is no way to have "Select a Region" select only Pokemon World teams unless I make region blocks. Of course, the "Select a Nation" can handle setting that from a practical standpoint.

Alright, I've figured out a plan to get lat/long done thanks to a friend. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh have lat/long values. Working on the others.

The Pokemon World will be contained by the 30th and 40th North parallels, and the 160th and 170th East parallels. In the real world, there's nothing there but ocean that I can find, and that should be large enough to contain everything.

Alright awesome! I looked at the file using Syntext(free XML editor) and it looked good. Syntext did say there were some errors, either I'll take a look using Syntext or if you want you can download it too and see what it says.

We could probably keep it in the world set up and just disable to international free agents so it's strictly Pokemon world players.

Yeah, I'll take a look in Syntext. I've been using Notepad++ so far.

Okay, just looked. It was mostly spelling mistakes and missing end tags. You make mistakes when you do this many of them. >< All fixed on my copy now. I'll send the new version when I finish lat/long. Syntext is good at helping me find mistakes, but I think I'll stick to Notepad++ for the actual coding.

Continent block complete (Sent to Nickphillies via email)

I just realized I didn't update the continent total pop properly, I put a placeholder 1 billion in there :P

...and I just found a much bigger mistake. Sigh. I will have to resend this. Gimme a few here. Ignore the first one, I'll send a second out in about 5 minutes. This is what I get for placeholder valuing things.

...sigh, okay, change the ID in line 879 (Ransei's Nation Line) to 274, and the ID in line 958 (Spectra) to 92447. I don't want to send a THIRD copy for just that.

Alright fixed those issues with my file. Haven't really had the time to knock out the Ball Caps

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but to make it stand alone I just have to add <World> and </World> to the ending and to include it into the Real World, I just slap the <continent> and </continent> after the 5th continent?

No. If you make it stand alone, you need to do <WORLD id="2" name="pokemon" required_ootp_version="13" file_version="Mainstreet Pokemon World v1.0.1"><LANGUAGES>(the entire language list from world_default, or at least include all the ones mentioned, which I think are 0 US, 1 Hispanic, 2 Japanese, and 8 French)</LANGUAGES><CONTINENTS> at the beginning and </CONTINENTS><REGIONS></REGIONS></WORLD> at the end, though you can do as many or as few REGION blocks as you want between <REGIONS> and </REGIONS>

Got some time to play with the XML file and I figured it out. Took some trial and error but I've got the Pokemon World implemented into the real world file.
