Saved_Games.dat File

I have successfully backed up the .lg folder and am wondering if I need to back up the 'saved_games.dat' file as well. I want to run the game with my PC league on my laptop and thus need to copy the files over to it.

Any help is appreciated.

I have only moved everything in the .****.lg folder. It gets me everything I need.

OK, thanks TGH. I guess I don't know why that saved_games.dat file gets updated every time I run OOTP.

Does anybody know what is in it and why it's there?

It's probably just something the game uses to talk to itself. maybe to create the lists for load games screen(s) or something. If that were the case it would probably get updated every time the game loads or changes in any way. Not really sure though.

Certainly possible...but if everybody's sure all I need is .lg folder I'll give that a try on the laptop this weekend.

I have done it many times with just the .lg. Probably 50+ times.

Well 50 times is pretty darn conclusive.
