Texas Black Spiders
Inspired by the Ebbets Field Flannels 1938 Road Jersey and cap...
Texas Black Spiders Like many barnstorming teams they were known by different names: The Mineola Black Spiders, The Ft. Worth Black Spiders, the Mason City Black Bats. In the golden age of black baseball, hitting the road and picking up games paid the bills and was often more important than a regular league schedule. The Black Spiders were seemingly everywhere between the 1920s and 1940s: Texas, Iowa, Mexico...Then they vanished into the mists of history, like so many traveling teams of the era. ![]() ![]() Last edited by txranger; 05-08-2015 at 09:04 PM. |

Ethiopian Clowns
Inspired by the Ebbets Field Flannels 1940 Road Jersey...
Ethiopian Clowns The most famous of the barnstorming clowning teams the Clowns originated in Florida where they were first known as the Miami Clowns. They later moved to Cincinnati and joined the Negro American League with the stipulation that they give up clowning and play straight baseball ![]() ![]() Last edited by txranger; 05-09-2015 at 12:34 PM. |

Just the C logo for the Clowns
Tex... is it possible you can provide just a letter logo for the Clowns. Just the C from the cap? Thanks! If not, no worries. Keep up the wonderful work man!

Tx,
Since we are on the subject of clowns, I found a pic of the T-Town Clowns. They were based out of Tulsa, Ok. I found a team pic as well as a pic from a negro league tribute night by the Tulsa Drillers minor league team. Hope you would be interested in making it. It would make a good minor league team for the Indianapolis Clowns. |

Could I request a uniform? I would like to see a Salt Lake City Gulls uniform set if possible. (I found a pullover home, but not my preference). Thanks for reading!

San Francisco Miners & Chicago Fire
I was hoping to get an updated retro style circular logo to compliment my fictional league for cephasjames San Francisco Miners jersey set located here.
Additionally, I'm requesting the same for his Chicago Fire set located here. Prefer black and red themed (post #1). Apologies upfront if these have already been created, but I haven't found it after some searching thru this thread and others. My OCD pings at the different style logos in the standings.Thank you greatly in advance! |

Thanks so much! Love the SF Miners logo. That is perfect and exactly what I had in mind. The Chicago Fire is great as well! I was thinking of trying to find a logo to put on there much like some of your other work. For the Fire, how about shrinking the "Fire" script a bit and adding a logo, perhaps some fire axes like these? Can you maybe invert the colors as well making red the predominant color? Of course I leave it completely up to you and your artistic eye, ability, and discretion which vastly exceeds mine.
Your work is so greatly appreciated! |

Are there any 1950's-1980s era Green Sox uniforms available? I've found modern ones, and 1920s-1940s ones, but nothing else so far. I have the Chicago Green Sox in one of my leagues, so I was wondering.
