player development

I am in my 3rd season and have noticed that guys in the minors I have never called up, seem to lose, half a star here, half a star there, and not really develop at what I would say is a reasonable pace. I finally get a pitcher who's close enough to being ready to start and he's in his mid to late 20's........Is there any way to skip this and have the guy's ready to contribute straight away after the draft?... I would prefer maybe a 2 year wait, bring the guy up at around 20-22 age range. Thanks for any help.

There are player development settings. I've never played around with them but increasing those may get you what you want.

There is a player development setting. It will accelerate or decelerate players development.
I do not know which screen it is on but if you search development in the manual you should find it easily.

Good luck,

Yes, there are player development settings that can help you, but isn't there also a setting(s) to determine the quality of the players being generated for the league somewhere in the League Settings area?

Don't currently have OOTP open (sorry, too lazy to search for these settings right now), but I'm quite sure they're somewhere in there, maybe the Players tab for league settings?

Thank you, that was exactly what I was hunting. I am going to try and find the best zone that makes my minor league players be developed to near full potential by about 22.
