Financials Question

Setting up a 2015 league -- and in the financial setup screen -- it had average team revenue of $123.9M, average expenses of $26.6M, average payroll of $105.5M and therefore average profit of MINUS $8.2M -- that seems weird to me, shouldn't average profit be at a minimum $0 if not higher?

123.9 - 26.6 - 105.5 = (-8.2)

Makes sense to me

I like think question is why the default setup would have a negative projection our-of-the-box. I haven't played it so cannot answer...

Sorry, should've been clearer, yes that was the default when I set up a 2015 league. Seems like it would set up for a lot of negative balances, anyone else play right out of the box have a view?

I would think something is amiss. The default game should come with financials ready to be played. If your's are not, there is possibly something wrong.

Typical pro sports team accounting. Must be depreciation, amortization, and related party transactions being used to hide the profits.

Or, as Paul Beeston famously said, "Anyone who quotes profits of a baseball club is missing the point. Under generally accepted accounting principles, I can turn a $4 million profit into a $2 million loss, and I can get every national accounting firm to agree with me."
