Sherry Magee and Addie Joss receive the POTM and BOTM awards for September.
As I said before, even though the rest of the team might not be playing as well, there are some players that continue to play hard.

September-October 1911

If the St. Louis Browns only played in the months of September and October, we would have won so many championships.
The SLB finish the season 23-13, the best months of the year to finish only 6 games under .500.
I had the best bullpen in the AL, but the rest of the team needs improvement if im gonna make the playoffs in 1912.
Sherry Magee was my best hitter and Eddie Cicotte was my best pitcher.
I still believe that we can overcome and have a good shot at next years playoffs.
This team has talent, we just need to unleash it.
Playoffs and Off Season reports coming soon.

1911 Playoffs

The Washington Senators are the champions of baseball yet again.
They defeat the Chicago Cubs in a WS rematch from 1909.
WAS is the 1st team in history to win 3 straight championships.
They are also the first team to win back to back to back titles.
They are the 1st team in history to win a world series rematch.
The AL has won its 3rd straight WS and so far has OWNED the Fall Classic since the start of baseball history.
I remember saying that when the Senators drafted Ty Cobb, they would be an up and coming team.
Well...they are HERE!!!

1911 Awards

The SLB are not the best team in baseball, but i did get two gold glove award winners in Jim Doyle and Art Wilson.
Its always good when any of my players are recognized for the good work they do.

1911 Draft

I couldnt believe that Casey Stengel was available at #11.
Had to grab him and get Stan Coveleski.
The sad thing is...i might not be here in St. Louis to watch these guys develop.

1912 Pre Season

As i go into the final year of my contract with the Browns, unless i make the playoffs, i have a sense of hope.
My Browns are picked for 4th in the AL, which means i might just have a crack at the postseason.

One MLB Change:
The Boston Rustlers, decided that the name was too country for a team in the New England region.
So...the owner took a trip to an Indian reservation in Massachusetts.
He was so impressed by the strength and honor of the American Indian, that he decided to rename the team.
So...that was how the Boston Braves came to be.

One more year left in St. Louis.
Will i finally make the playoffs or will you guys be giving me my next job?

Say hello to...

THE 1912 ST. LOUIS BROWNS!!!

YEAR 5 OF 5

April 1912

The 1912 season gets off to a .500 start as the SLB are 2 GB of the 3rd place spot to make the playoffs.
So far, the pitching rotation is doing much better than last year, but now, its the lineup that is stagnant.
Cant win with this team.
Since Roy Patterson didn't want to back to the minors, i sent him to the Senators for George Winter.

May 1912

Sooner or later, i seem to catch a break.
The St. Louis Browns had one of the best months they have ever had since i took them over 6 years ago.
They go 18-8 for May and find themselves tied for 1st with the New York Highlanders.
The Browns have the best pitching staff in the AL and the hitting woke up this month.
Casey Stengel gets his 1st ROTM award, which i have a feeling is just the 1st of many awards he will receive in a long and storied career.
Cy Falkenberg is zoning right now.
If we make the playoffs, i get this team for another year.
Maybe we have finally hit a stride, but there is a lot more to go in this season.
But so far, it feels good to finally be on top of the league with the Browns!

June 1912

The Browns go 13-14 for the month of June, but they are still right in the heart of the race.
Only 2 GB of 1st in the league, and only .5 GB of 3rd, the St. Louis Browns are very capable of making the playoffs.
Vean Gregg went down with probably, a season ending injury, so i called up Orval Overall to round out the rotation.
Sherry Magee is having a great year hitting. and i put Johnny Evers on the bench since his season was down.
The Browns are trying to keep me as GM for another year.
Lets hope they like me enough to do just that.

July 1912

Another good month for the St. Louis Browns.
Going 16-12 for July and having the best pitching staff in the league is finally beginning to reap dividends.
The lineup is strong, especially since i traded away Frank Chance and John Knight to the Chicago Cubs for Heinie Zimmerman.
Maybe he can be the spark plug that will light the fire for the Browns as we now head into the playoff push.
We are 1 GB of the Philadelphia Athletics for the league lead, and to win the league in the regular season makes a huge difference to avoid the division series.
This season is going very well...lets hope we hold on and make the playoffs for the 1st time in 5 years!

August 1912

St. Louis has an 11-15 month of August which now puts us in danger of not making the playoffs.
Tied with the Cleveland Naps for 3rd, the Browns have one more month to put it all together.
I will be watching this very closely, for my job with the Browns is on the line.
Can we put it all together for the final push?
We shall see!

September-October 1912

It came down to the last game of the regular season against Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Cleveland Naps.
But the St. Louis Browns won the game in the 9th inning with a walk-off base hit by Sherry Magee.
The Browns are in the playoffs for the 1st time since 1907, my first year.
The SLB went 15-12 for the final month and it was good enough to win 3rd place in the AL.
This team has survived to fight on.
Now...can we go the distance?

1912 NLDS Preview:

Casey Stengel picked up his 2nd ROTM award and i think he might get ROTY.
The St. Louis Browns will have to knock off the three straight championship winners, the Washington Senators in the NLDS!
This is a very tall order.
Ty Cobb, Steve Yerkes, Ted Easterly, and Rube Marquard are just a few of the names that this team has.
The Senators are trying to get the world series for the 4th straight time.
The Browns will have to prevent this...but can we?
NLDS coming up!

Once you get to the playoffs anything can happen, so I'm calling for the upset.

1912 American League Division Series

Game 1

In a short series, anything can happen.
In this case, the St. Louis Browns picked up a HUGE win over the Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium 5-3.
Art Wilson delivered some clutch RBI and the Sens committed some very bad errors which allowed the Browns to get extra runs.
Cy Falkenberg out pitched Rube Marquard, and Ty Cobb went 0 for 4 in this game.
Now we go home with a chance to do what i think would be a miracle.
Eliminate the Senators from the playoffs!
SLB leads series 1-0

Game 2

The Washington Senators got some awesome pitching from Slim Sallee as he blanked the St. Louis Browns 2-0 on a rainy day at Sportsman's Park.
Eddie Cicotte only gave up two runs, but that was enough as the Browns couldnt get anything going against Sallee.
For the Senators, it was Jake Daubert who came through going 2 for 5 with an RBI.
One game for all the marbles back in the nation's capital.
Can we still pull it off?
Series tied 1-1

Game 3

The St. Louis Browns could not pull off the miracle as we fell to the Washington Senators 9-4 at Griffith Stadium.
We are eliminated from the postseason, but i feel really good about this team.
Because we made the playoffs, i get a 7th year.
There is hope and challenge for the future ahead.
Looking forward to it.
Playoff results and off season reports coming soon...
WAS wins series 2-1
