Frustrated

Twice in two games, I've had a player come to bat twice consecutively. First game Brock Holt grounds out to second--I look at the game log for a sec, go back into the game and Brock holt comes up again and grounds out to second AGAIN. Second game even worse--Murphy doubles for Yankees, I do a mound trip--boom--Murphy still in the batters box--Brina McCann, pinch runs AND pinch hits for Murphy, and proceeds to hit a walk off single, driving himself in from second base--this is a bit much to take--kinda think I'm done

I had essentially the same problem and posted this in the bug report thread a couple days back. Agreed, very frustrating.

Before anyone posts with the 'work-around' being not hitting 'next pitch' too quickly - I can confirm that this is not accurate as I had the issue happen while not pressing next pitch, whatsoever

When this happens, do you see the same batter at the plate twice in a row while playing the game, or do you only notice it in the boxscore/gamelog?

In my case it was both. By the way the OP reads, this appears to be the same case here as well. There is a bug report I put up with screen shots (however, I couldn't screenshot the game, itself, because you don't know when its going to happen; i.e. I can't screenshot the first at-bat and then the second at-bat because I don't know it will happen to do so)

Thanks for posting it in the bug forum. Ugh, I remember playing another baseball sim that had issues with guys batting twice. Very annoying.

It will be fixed in a future patch. You can count on it. OOTP developments is really good about these things.

I suggest playing v 14 (or 15) for a little while longer.

Just hang tight.

Also please keep the conversation going so it cannot be overlooked. Also, keep the bug thread updated.

This is an awesome suggestion that i wish i had read and followed when it came out. but, i guess i am getting a jumpstart learning the new nuances of 16. i spent hours preparing and running an inaugural draft, and once the game is fully patched i'll have to do it again - woot! not so much woot.

Think of it this way, you are actually an extended beta tester and without people like you the final product would not be perfected (by the last patch). Yes, it's easier to pre-order and download after the last patch (as I did with 12), but without early version players such as yourself some bugs may never be found and a bug free final version wouldn't come to be. Thank you for being part of the EBT team.
