Is it possible to create a fictional league with 10 or 15 seasons already played?

Creating a fictional league is fun, but I'd like to be able to see the players have a few years worth of stats rather than starting with nothing. Is there a setting I'm missing when creating a league to have the program simulate x number of seasons first?

It's called simulate. Many posters who create leagues simulate several years to do exactly what you want. It's not automatic because opinions vary on how much simming is needed. For example some simulate several seasons to fill the pipeline with created players based on league settings. Then they delete all history. A second round of simulations follows to provide the history with a more refined player pool.

Now that you bring it up I could see the benefit of a sim for history drop down with 5, 10, 15 and 20 years as choices.

Just start your game without a team assigned, use the Simulate to specified date - 5 or 10 or however many years down the road, then see how everything went and choose your team and go from there. Unfortunately there's not an option to do this in league creation but it's easy enough, just takes some time.

And if you still want to have an inaugural draft type-thing you can then go into League Settings -> Functions, and choose the Schedule Fantasy Draft option, which will release all players and schedule a draft.

I simmed 15 years to establish a history with my fictional league, then took over as GM/manager of the worst team. Am now starting my 9th season and have built the team into a contender.
