Is there any way I can tell the game to generate better-hitting pitchers?
I'm populating the modern-day MLB with a bunch of fictional players from all around the globe. So like, half the players are American, and you can find dudes from Indonesia and Africa here and there.
I want to play without the DH, but I don't want pitchers to be one unanimous vortex of suck at the plate. I'd like the pitchers generated by my game to hit a little bit. Improved by a factor of, I dunno, ~1.5. To my knowledge, it isn't possible. Is there any way you know of that I can do it? I'd like the draft-eligible and international amateur pitchers to hit better, then, as well.... Last edited by smegma; 04-23-2015 at 05:03 PM. |

Don't see a modifier that allows you to generate good hitting pitchers. I manually edit several of mine and make them better hitters or bunters. Of course, my league is quite small so it's easier to do than in a large league, but that's pretty much the only choice right now.

I figure there's a file tucked in a folder somewhere that'll dictate this sort of thing. 70% of the hitters are right-handed, so there's gotta be a line somewhere inside that says so. Skryim and GTA mods, e.g., are incredible, so I trust it can be done, but I'm useless.
