I know in the book the movie was based on, it was explicitly said that they were vampires. Not sure what the hell they were meant to be in the movie, but that's a movie I was thinking about when I said vampires.

If you want to do the Mad Max universe, gas shortages. I had an entire league based on the Mad Max universe at one point but sadly, I no longer have the files as it was many versions ago.

Nah, that used to be a team in the league, but everytime there was a close play on the field the manager would come out and tell the umpire resistance is futile and how they would all be assimilated. It just turned into a big thing. Games were running long. The officiating crew was getting uncomfortable. Probably best to keep them out.
