Link to newest non-randomizing version for OOTP 16
https://www.dropbox.com/s/nubmvyjies...OTP16.zip?dl=0 Thought I'd try Dropbox since that is what so many users on this forum use. The thread after this one will be where I build the ReadMe for this version as I notice things in playing..

Spritze HS for OOTP 16
Tested with OOTP16 for the years 1871-1923. Worked without challenges.
If you start a league in 1901 or later the main difference is some additional Negro and Cuban players and the MiLB player records for ML players who debuted in the decade of 1901-1910 are complete and ML 2014 has been added. The Federal League has also been added so refer to the contraction notes below. If you start before 1901 you will notice that "Real" team names are being used even though players must still be drafted. Odd numbers of teams in a league is now supported by OOTP so that has been implemented. Starting in 1871 the number of teams in the leagues are 9,11,9,8,13,8,6,6,8,8,8,14,16,33,16,16,16,16,16,25 ,17,12,12,12,12,12,12,12,12,8. When the number of teams increase Expansion will occur, when the number of teams decrease Contraction will occur. Upon contraction you will need to release all the contracted teams major and minor league players and personnel by hand. For players this can be done in 2 clicks, Select All and then make them free agents. I do this from the player list after choosing to include minor league players in the list. I then run a Free Agent draft to disperse the players around the league. This should be done just after the next calendar year to keep players from sticking on the defunct teams. If it is done earlier players can be left behind. Even though they won't show on the free agent list they can still be seen on the major league player list as free agents. Single league years have been split into two leagues as required by OOTP. You may need to edit the schedules to your liking as what OOTP uses as its defaults pre-1901 is just plain silly at times. Years with 3 leagues have the extra leagues attached as a "Western" division to either the NL or AL. For these years you will need to use the Custom Playoff feature of OOTP. Make sure to change back from Custom Playoffs after the third league folds or the game will blow upon reaching the next seasons playoffs. If it does just edit the custom playoff format and you can continue. Player records now include the pro/semi-pro/amateur 1850's and 1860's for players who played ML ball as early as 1871. If you choose to import history when you start a game (even in 1871) these stats will be imported. These stats have also been heavily altered by using 1871 as the base year for generating MLE's. In the 1850's and 60's rules were constantly evolving so the stats looked very weird. After MLE's they seem to fit pretty well.

All I can say is WOW, amazing work. unfreakin believable work. I imported historical teams from every era to fill a 20 team league and had enough players to have 3 levels of minors filled with 30/35/40 roster limits and 600+ Free Agents because of players getting released, ALL of real players, and having random entry is just like getting an extra scoop of Ice Cream with my cake, which I can have and eat it too!!!
Thanks for your time and effort thank you thank you thank you It would be impossible to thank you enough Spritze!! This is the mod that has made my dream league come true!!!

ok, after alot of messing around, I have a question about wether the database is working as intended. When importing historical teams of a specific year . I imported the 1914-1919 Boston Red Sox...No babe Ruth..when I imported a yankee team from those years there is Babe Ruth. Same case for the Cincinnati Reds of the mid-70's and Joe Morgan.
When I started a regular Historical game with the 75 reds the team was full of players who used to be on the team, granted these guys started out on the reds, but the 75 team had Frank Robinson, Lee May,Tommy Harper...etc...etc Now with the case of Ruth, it is putting him on the Yankees no matter what year I import, I realize Ruth started on the Baltimore Orioles in the minors of the International league and I believe they had somewhat of an association with the Yankees as a minor league team. Basically no matter what I do, the players are being put on their original teams no matter how far removed from them they are, in Frank Robinson's case he hadn't played for the Reds since 1965 Is the Database working as intended or is there a problem?

The database is working as intended.
Players are on the team they spent the most time with. Since for most of baseball history players always began on independent teams and OOTP does not do independent teams (yet) it is a compromise. The database is meant to work with a draft for this reason and because players are available at around 18 so they can choose college or to go pro and because of all the Negro, Cuban and Asian players included who never got a chance to play in the majors at all.

Neutered is best as it puts everyone in the same context.
Real works as well, just a bit differently.

Try this one....I made random a part of the regular Spritze DB now. The random ODB is now incorporated.

Spritze, thank you for finally making your DB compatible with RD. While my league got borked somehow by the Cubs and Sox getting switched from NL to AL for both the RD feature worked pretty well. Had a decent mix of Negro Leaguers I had never heard of and a slew of *** players that have not played MLB. i plan on redoing my RD league soon or just playing as the White Sox in the NL for one season then switching them back to the AL.

The files with OOTP in front are just the ones that came with the game.
